Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®Zeta Chi Omega ChapterServing the Arlington and Alexandria, Virginia communities since 1956 |
Message from the PresidentGreetings, On behalf of the nearly 400 members of the Zeta Chi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®, welcome! Zeta Chi Omega Chapter has proudly provided community service and assistance to the residents of Arlington and Alexandria, Virginia since 1956. The chapter has awarded more than half a million dollars in scholarships to local high school students pursuing postsecondary education. The chapter’s charitable affiliate, the Ivy Foundation of Northern Virginia co-sponsors our educational programs, including the Cooley-Moore Scholarship Luncheon Fashion Show and the Cotillion leadership program. We are proud of our legacy of partnership with local organizations to register members of our community to vote, stand up against injustice, and serve meals to the unhoused. For the last 50 years, we have hosted a holiday luncheon for senior citizens that has brought joy to our most cherished residents. We are “Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood”™ under the leadership of International President and CEO Danette Anthony Reed to find solutions that empower families, strengthen our sisterhood, build economic wealth, enhance our environment, advocate for social justice, and uplift our community. Learn more about our upcoming events and programs here. If you are a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® and looking to reactivate or just visiting the Northern Virginia area, we’d love to see you! Please contact us at keeper@aka-zco.org. Our chapter meetings are held the first Saturday of each month (except July and August). In sisterly service, Crystal D. Lander President |
