The IFNV’s major area of focus is raising money to fund scholarships for local high school seniors through sponsoring our annual Cooley-Moore Luncheon Fashion Show. The annual signature event is a remarkable occasion featuring a luncheon, fashion show, music, shopping, door prizes, and more. A boutique of vendors is featured with various accessories, clothing, jewelry, and specialty items, with the noble cause of supporting educational goals. The presence and support of many make a significant difference in the lives of dynamic students. 

This event has raised money to fund more than 100 scholarships for deserving students in Alexandria and Arlington communities since its inception. Our scholarship recipients represent a diverse array of students with a multitude of interests. They attend various public and private universities throughout the country. Each year, the IFNV awards new scholarships to a minimum of two deserving students. These renewable scholarships total $16,000.00 each over four years. Read more information on The Cooley-Moore Scholarship Fund.

Cotillion Leadership Program

The Cotillion program includes more than five months of cultural and educational activities designed to enrich the lives of the Debutantes, and their Escorts. Program activities include cultural events, workshops and seminars on budgeting, etiquette, interviewing skills, career choices, college life, and health/fitness awareness.
